{This is Part 2 of a four-part series on becoming a professional birthworker. See Part 1 here.}

Do you have a passion for birthwork and enjoy sharing your knowledge? Birth Beautifully’s Childbirth Educator Training and Certification would be a great fit for you!

Scope

The role of a Birth Beautifully Childbirth Educator is to empower expecting people and families through education and encouraging informed decision making. Even with the most attentive, best midwives and doctors, they don’t have time to provide all the information about nutrition, healthy pregnancy, in-depth explanations of the labor process, and options during childbirth for their patients. Birth Beautifully Childbirth Educators are able to bridge this gap by offering comprehensive, informative sessions so expecting families can feel confident and prepared throughout pregnancy and birth.

The Birth Beautifully Childbirth Educator training not only teaches you information to share with clients, it also teaches you how to make it a sustainable business.

Jumpstart Your Business

Many childbirth educator training programs only teach you what to teach your clients. In addition to being a respected and thorough program so you are prepared to teach, Birth Beautifully’s training also includes everything you need to start your classes immediately upon certification. Your training and certification fee includes curriculum, presentations, and handouts that you can use right away! You’ll also be a certified Birth Beautifully Childbirth Educator for life – there are no requirements to recertify later.

Many people who choose to offer childbirth education classes couple them with other services they offer: birth or postpartum doulas, placenta encapsulation specialists, massage therapists, and others. Childbirth education classes can often be a great starting point because you set yourself as the expert, and from there clients may look to hire you as their doula, or add additional birth related services.
