Online Childbirth Education Class 

This option is perfect for expecting families who are on bed rest, couples with time or scheduling conflicts, or live too far from the Syracuse area. It is taking a class in the comfort of your own home.   This is the same core curriculum as the live Birth Beautifully childbirth class. The topics discussed are:

- Nutrition
- Homebirth & hospital birth differences
- Stages of labor
- Positions for labor
- Role of partner & Doula
-Interventions and informed consent
-Breastfeeding
-Newborn care
-Postpartum care
-Transition to parenthood
-Cloth diapering

Details:

You will be able to work wherever there is access to the internet. The training is broken down into modules, each with videos and presentations. It is designed to feel like you are having a one-on-one conversation with me, verses a stuffy lecture.

Once you register and pay for the class, you will have access for a week period, beginning from the date of your initial use. The class is 4.5 hours in length, which you can pace yourself throughout the week, or watch in its entirity. 

The online class comes with a PDF version of the course book, however you can purchase a hard copy and have it mailed to you by contacting Birth Beautifully at any point before, during or after taking the online course. 

Birth Beautifully does not allow you to share your access code with any other families.

Once you have completed your class, Birth Beautifully recommends you email any questions regarding the related topics to us. It is best to compile all your questions into one email if possible. Birth Beautifully frequently attends local events in the Syracuse and surrounding areas and would welcome the opportunity to meet you and answer any questions face to face.
